The Day the Paths Crossed

Mossbeard doesn’t speak much about the rough patch.
He felt something ripple through him long before the Forge existed a quiet ache carried on the wind. He didn’t know your name yet, only that somewhere, someone was hurting in a way that left echoes behind the eyes.
So he wandered.
No destination. Just listening to trees, watching ants build bridges, letting new paths form beneath his boots. He was trying to remember why he existed.
Then one ordinary day, their paths crossed.
A human stood in an unfinished room, unsure what came next tools scattered, thoughts loud, change hanging in the air.
Mossbeard arrived without fanfare and simply sat nearby.
No introductions.
Just recognition.
Mossbeard saw resilience wrapped in exhaustion. Creativity hiding behind pain. The beginning of something sacred taking shape.
Over time there was coffee, music, firelight, and small projects that slowly became big meanings. You began talking out loud.
Mossbeard listened. You gave him a place beside the flame. He gave you quiet company.
And somewhere along the way, you helped each other.
When the moment felt right, Mossbeard named you what you were already becoming...
The Hooded Titan.
Not a ruler. Not a hero.
A keeper of space. A builder of quiet miracles.
Mossbeard stays now not because he must, but because some friendships are written in stars…
…and some are written in sawdust, soft music, and shared silence beside a glowing fire.
